Request account deletion

Use this page to request deletion of your Wahazi account and the personal data associated with it. Submitting the form notifies our team; deletion is completed manually after we verify ownership — typically within 30 days.

How to request deletion

    Use the form on this page with the email address on your Wahazi account. Confirm that you own the account.

    We verify ownership

    Our team may email you at that address to confirm the request before making irreversible changes.

    We delete your account and data

    After verification, we permanently delete your Wahazi account and associated personal data, subject to the retention notes below. We aim to complete this within 30 days of a verified request.

Data we delete

When your verified request is fulfilled, we delete personal data tied to your Wahazi account, including:

  • Your account login and authentication credentials
  • Profile information (name, bio, avatar, contact details on the account)
  • Account settings and private preferences
  • Membership records tying you to communities, where those records exist solely for your account
  • Private content and uploads that are attributable only to your account and are not required elsewhere

Data we may retain

Some information may be kept where we have a legal or operational need:

  • Billing and transaction records

    Kept as long as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.

  • Security and abuse logs

    Limited technical logs may be retained for a short period to investigate abuse or protect the service.

  • Content you shared in a community

    Posts, comments, or files others still rely on may be anonymized or retained in the community’s archive rather than fully erased, so other members’ experience is not broken.

  • Backups

    Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups rotate out of retention.

Processing time

We process verified account deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive confirmation by email when the request is complete, or if we need more information to verify ownership.

Submit a deletion request

Required fields marked with an asterisk. This does not delete your account instantly — it sends a request to Wahazi administrators.
